WOODBRIDGE - With a potentially historic winter storm bearing down on New Jersey, local shoppers headed out in force Sunday afternoon to prepare for the foot to two feet of snow expected to blanket parts of the state this week. At the Wegman's grocery store in Woodbridge Township, parking, among other items, was in short supply.

The attorney general's office's shooting response team says a preliminary investigation shows Isaiah Roberts was to meet with undercover agents behind a Rite Aid pharmacy in Sayreville Thursday. When the 38-year-old Parlin resident saw officers approaching he tried to flee, but allegedly struck an unmarked police vehicle and a detective from the Middlesex County prosecutor's office.

METUCHEN - State authorities are reporting crashes on several major Middlesex County highways, and have reduced the speed on the Outerbridge Crossing after an overnight snowstorm. The Outerbridge Crossing from Perth Amboy to Staten Island now has a 35 miles per hour speed restriction, according to 511nj.org.

A police officer fired his weapon at the target of a drug bust in Sayreville on Thursday after the suspect attempted to flee the scene by striking multiple police vehicles and a detective with his car - the incident is now under investigation by The N.J. Attorney General's Shooting Response Team. Isaiah D. Roberts, 38, of Parlin, was the target of an undercover drug operation conducted by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Task Force behind the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 3553 Washington Road in Sayreville.
